PURPOSE The personnel Office was created to serve the Allied Commanders with a central database of players. Here we will maintain rosters, service reports, training schedules and most importantly, Squad Assignments.
COMMAND STRUCTURE Each Unit will have a designated S-1 with each Regiment within the Division having their own S-1 as well. Regimental S-1's will report to their respective Divisional S-1 and Divisional S-1 will report directly to SHAEF S-1.
All S-1's are asked to check in once a week with their Superior Officer on a schedule to be determined. These weekly updates should include copies of the latest Rosters for their Units and any additional updates that pertain to their duties.
DUTIES OF THE PERSONNEL OFFICE The Personnel Officer maintains all of the Unit Rosters and duty logs. This will include tracking players on site and off site at all times.
All Personnel Officers will be asked to maintain the following on site: 1. Troop Rosters 2. New Arrivals in camp 3. Training Exercises of their unit (at Commanders discretion) 4. After-Action Reports (Unit commanders organizing training missions during mini-scenarios will be asked to submit formal reports of field conditions and resistance faced on field.) 5. Parade Formations (S-1 Officers will be responsible for organizing their units for the Opening Ceremonies.) 6. Unit Transfers and Promotions (Forms are available for those receiving promotions or transfers.) 7. Meeting Requests (All S-1's will be asked to organize Unit Meetings and to inform their players accordingly.)
The Personnel Office will operate the same hours as the Orientation Tent this year. Once the exact process for Check-in has been finalized, we will inform all personnel. All players will need to pass through the Personnel Office to receive their squad assignments. We are asking that all S-1's be on site as early in the week as possible and to delegate authority accordingly if they are not able.
There will be meetings for all Personnel Officers immediately following the closing of the Personnel Tent for the day to review the latest numbers. SHAEF S-1 will provide materials necessary to record the days information. All S-1's will be asked to spend at least 2 hours per day in the Personnel Tent as a representative of their divison. A schedule for such assignments will be determined at a later date. If you are not able to comply with this directive, please advise the SHAEF S-1 and arrange a representative from your Unit to take your place in the tent for those hours. Any Officers wishing to serve a shift in the Personnel Tent are encouraged to do so.
