The Free French Army is organized into 3 Divisions

French No. 10 Marine Commandos Capitaine Jarrod 'Oden' Lieutenant Ryan 'Paladin'
|
During the Allied invasion of Normandy, the Maquis and other groups played some role in
delaying the German mobilization. The French Resistance blew up railroad tracks and
repeatedly attacked German Army equipment and garrison trains on their way to the Atlantic
coast. As Allied troops advanced, the French Resistance rose against the Nazi occupation
forces and their garrisons en masse. For example, Nancy Wake's group of 7,000 maquisards
was involved in a pitched battle with 22,000 Germans on June 20, 1944. Some Maquis groups
took no prisoners so some German soldiers preferred to surrender to Allied soldiers instead of
facing maquisards.
Oklahoma D-Day maquisards will defend the village of St. Mere Elise and the Mederet Bridge
holding back the Germans at all costs. Anti-tank personnel will be busy in the valley areas in
2009
The No. 10 Marine Commandos were an elite group of operators within the French Navy.
These operators were ordered to discontinue services from the French Government, but
continued to operate as resistance fighters. These operators were considered to be the best
of the best, completing covert operations that could only be dreamed of.
Oklahoma D-Day No. 10 Marine Commandos are an invitation-only unit under the direct
command of the Free French Army General. For information on how to be invited, contact
General Dawe.
